Those willing to lend a hand to others are asked to submit details to Mrs. Jane Thomas who is setting up a new database.
Examples of recent offers of help include a member who has numerous DVD parish records for Hampshire and Sussex and another who
holds records for three Sussex parishes: Horsted Keynes, Ardlingly and West Hoathly.
- Computer Corner:
Jeanne Bunting or Gadget Granny, as she is often called, rates the speech recognition software on the iPhone 5 and
gives a pat on the back to volunteers armed who are using the Flip-Pal scanner to rescue photos lost in a natural disaster.
She shares her chagrin with voice controlled answering systems and weighs in on "cloud computing".
