- Editorial:
Sheila Brown pays tribute to Peter CLEAVER, a longtime, stalwart member of the WSFHS.
She also requests submission of more Parish Profiles and notes the happy occasion of Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding.
- Chairman's Letter:
Sue Turner also remembered Peter CLEAVER's contributions to the WSFHS, reminds members summer is a good time to plan visits to the Record Offices and
Archives and to write down the names of people in photographs. She also urges that we all remember to back up our personal family history data.
- From the Secretary:
Ann Sargeant invites members to attend a Saturday afternoon meeting at the Woking Centre.
She thanks new volunteers for stepping forward, including Nigel BUTLER, who has joined the executive committee;
Jane THOMAS, who has joined the editorial sub-committee and Members' Help Register; and Karen IRELAND, who has joined the research and publications sub-committee.

For example, an Essex member has a reference collection for the names TIRO/TYRO/TEAROE, including those now in Canada and New Zealand.
Another member has 3,000 records from the parishes of southwest Surrey for the surnames: AYLING, BOXALL, COURT, ETHERINGTON, FLUTTER, HARDY, SIMMONDS, SMITHER,
SNELLING, TRIMMER and WINTER.

Jeanne Bunting offers tips for photographing documents with a digital camera.
She also pays tribute to Peter CLEAVER, who made such a great contribution to the WSFHS.

A WSFHS member seeks help to identify the occasion that a group photo of the male grounds and maintenance workforce at Hampton Court Palace was taken circa 1895.
A village museum in The Netherlands wishes to collect information and invite the families of those RAF crew members, including pilot Peter Henry BASSON,
who died when their plane crashed on 24 th July 1942to a special memorial.
Who is in the group photo taken in the early 1920s in the Redhill/Reigate area of a school group including Edward CONSTABLE?
Other members offer to reunite the marriage certificate of Arthur NICHOLSON of Fair Oak, Hants, and Ellen LOCKE of Milford, Surrey, as well as a
damaged birth certificate for Martha SMALLPIECE to their respective descendants.
